So I decided to do some housekeeping and get my body off to the right start, I’ve been looking into various juice cleanses and decided to go with Love Deep by Organic Avenue. Besides the neat packaging and the detailed instructions they send, I love how they give you an inspirational quote to start your cleanse. “Love is the strongest force the world possesses, and yet it is the humblest imaginable.” -Mohandas Gandhi. I think of Gandhi fasting for peace and I’m ready to begin. 

(My goal is to reprogram my brain to want and appreciate nutrient rich foods.)

In preparation for the cleanse I started to eat lightly a few days before, I started to wean off the chicken and carbs and integrate some juice. The day before I stuck with salads, nuts and had a mini bagel in the am. Also, my friend suggested I watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, I needed something to get me motivated (the man juiced for 60 days straight)! I was definitely feeling nervous the night before; I was scared maybe it would mess with my system or get sick?

A sample of today’s menu & it’s health benefits:
Chlorophyll Shot
Grapefruit Juice 
Spinach, Cucumber, Celery Juice
Master Tonic: Yacon Syrup, Cayenne Pepper, lemon juice 
FYI: Cayenne can do everything from kill cancer cells in the prostate, lungs, and pancreas to immediately stop a heart attack within 30 seconds.
Veggie Vibe Juice: Lemon, Carrot, Spinach, Cucumber, Celery, Parsley,Beet

A log of day one:

• 10am: The Chlorophyll shot was easy, no problem
• 10:30am: Breakfast beings with grapefruit Juice, it tastes clean and delicious
• 12:38pm: Spinach, Cucumber, Celery was a bit tough to swallow, I start to miss the grapefruit. Luckily, the cucumber masks the taste. This round takes almost two hours to finish.
• 2:30pm: Lemon, Cayenne Pepper and Yacon Syrup juice cleans my palate. My stomach is starting to rumble, but I feel fine, energized, light, but begin I’m craving for something like almonds
• 4:30pm: The red beet juice is similar to the green juice , not the easiest to drink. Hunger hits me hard, it’s not unbearable. My body does feel lighter.  
• 6pm: The Carrot juice is easy to drink and the hunger passes me   
• 8pm: I worked out for an hour and I feel energized, but hungry. 
• Dinner a Cucumber drink.

I didn’t think I would make it through day one, but it was fairly easy. I don’t feel sick or messed up, in fact my body is thanking me for giving my organs a rest. One down, two more days to go.
